Joe and Andrea Nemechek Residence – This was the second home built for this couple by Spivey Construction in the past 10 years. It has many environmentally friendly features including: Icynene insulation, geothermal heating system, and radiant in-floor heating. Concrete countertops and showers, natural granite and travertine countertops and flooring, and a water filtration system are seen throughout the kitchen and bathrooms. Low VOC paints, custom made cedar tables recycled from locally sourced left over ceiling beams, concrete roofing, energy star windows and appliances, and locally sourced and made formaldehyde free alder wood cabinets are seen throughout the entire residence. All of the main living areas including a home office are on the main floor.  Additional guest bedrooms and entertaining spaces are located in the lower level, along with a half-court basketball area.
